WELCOME BACK!

It's hard to believe but it's that time of the year again - the beginning of a new school year. Your children receive the best education when you and our dedicated teachers work as a team. It's a parents’ enthusiasm, support and involvement that inspires children to do their best. Together we can achieve wonderful things.

There's a lot of excitement ahead of us, including new teachers to meet, new books to read, new friends to meet and new skills to master...and we look forward to you sharing in those exciting times.

NEWSLETTERS

Newsletters will be sent home first day of every month to assist you in planning for holidays and special events at school. A copy of the newsletter will be posted on the Parent Information Board for your convenience.

Parents are always welcome to meet with either administration or teachers. Should you require a meeting, please contact our office to schedule an appointment. In order to ensure that all meetings are productive, parents, teachers and/or administration must be prepared. Impromptu meetings and doorway conversations are generally not conducive to productive communication.

Email will be an essential form of communication. All parents must have a valid email address on file with us to ensure that all communications are received. Where possible, two email addresses should be provided per family (i.e. work/home). As with all contact information, it is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to notify the school of any change to email address(es) and phone numbers.

DROP-OFFS

Morning drop off must be before 8:45. It is our intention to instil a sense of order and punctuality from a young age. So please ensure that your child(ren) are brought to school promptly. A child arriving late is disruptive to the learning process of their peers and they will miss out on the excitement generated by the introduction of new topics during morning circle times.

MEDICATION

As the weather changes children tend to be prone to illness. Please note that we only administer prescription medication from the original container. A medication form must be completed to give us permission to administer the medication. Also, please give your child’s teacher the medication so it is out of reach. Medication cannot be left in the child’s school bag.

UNIFORMS

Uniforms are mandatory for children 18 months and older. Our parent handbook outlines the details of our uniform policy. Uniforms are available at Wal-Mart, Superstore and Old Navy.

LABEL, LABEL

We cannot stress enough how important it is to label all of your child’s items. Teachers cannot be responsible for lost items that are not labeled. Items like water bottles, sunscreen and clothing MUST be labeled as mandated by the Health Department. If any of these items are not labeled they will be removed immediately from the classroom.
